Via Margaret Simon at The Content Makers, here's a new thing. Looks good. Margaret describes it as 'a not-for-profit collaboration between journalists and academic researchers'. Which can't be anything but good.
An old mate of mine is the Politics and Society Section Editor there and given his very wicked wit and general irrevence, that section at least could get quite lively.
Having a login to comment via twitt or facebook is not a way to encourage comment. Its just plain silly and flies in the face of everything we know about such media..
Makes me wonder about the thinking behind the whole site
Please feel free to write long(ish) comments if you have long comments to make. Off-topic comments will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and deleted if they derail the discussion. Hostile or malicious comments will be deleted regardless.
I'm not thrilled that you have to sign in via Twitter or Facebook to comment, but that's probably just me (I have no account with either)
