Saw Beautiful Kate yesterday - beautiful movie. Sophie Lowe is very luminous. I recently saw Last Ride (and Balibo in between - about ready for something cheery now ;-) ) I notice that both Last Ride and Beautiful Kate feature the South Australian landcape in all its austere wonderfulness. It seems to be a recurring thing at the moment - awe inspiring deserty backgrounds which are as powerful as any of the characters in the movie.
