To lose one pair of prescription sunglasses, Ms Cat, may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness.

And (accusing myself): To think you've lost them, and only after 10 minutes looking for them realizing you are wearing them.... what would that be? (apart from all too common)

But worse is leaving prescription glasses on the bus, then walking around indoors and at night time looking like Kanye West (if he was white and skinny)
