I wish Americans would stop pretending they dislike monarchies...
Fascinating stuff. Its been quietly discussed in the press for a week or two. Clearly Ted Kennedy's illness hasn't dulled his political ambition, and she's the only Kennedy left with any balls.
My very thought, or one of them. Caroline has always been my favourite Kennedy, though.
Mine too.
Whoops, comments crossed -- mine was a response to the Duck. M-H, she's practically the only Kennedy left, period.
I was reading around the Wikisphere last night looking for Kennedy info and got a disturbing picture of Jackie Kennedy's reproductive history. From what I can gather, and no doubt this isn't the whole story either, there were at least five pregnancies in eight years: 1955 miscarriage, 1956 stillbirth of Arabella, 1957 Caroline, 1960 John, 1963 the birth and two days later the death of Patrick. All this while married to a notorious womaniser with intermittently life-threatening injuries and illnesses.
Apparently the poor woman hated her own wedding dress; can you think of a worse omen?
